Paul and Elaine Drack

For the late Paul E. Drack '50, "[t]o say that I received a great education is simple; but really, I grew as a person. Saint Mary's gave me a sound foundation to be successful in life, and it was important to Elaine and me to give back." In 2005, Paul and Elaine Drack established a charitable gift annuity that provides annual income to them during their lifetimes and then provides a charitable gift to assist future students at Saint Mary's. This charitable gift annuity gave Paul and Elaine not only the peace of mind of annual payments, but also a charitable gift tax deduction and the good feeling that comes from knowing they have made a positive impact on others. "When you give to your college, you know you are helping a young person get a good education, a good start in life," Paul said. Paul and Elaine believed that Catholic education, particularly at a smaller school, has a special place in this world, and it was important to them "to do what we could to support that, to see it grow and flourish. More than that, it just feels good to be able to help. This made it easy for us."
